Zbrush Character Design

Interesting and colourful characters are at the heart of creative storytelling. Given the rising demand for Virtual and Augmented reality content, good quality organic character modellers are a sought after talent.

Zbrush is a powerful program that offers digital artists of all levels an in-depth, stimulating, direct-to-use tool-set to generate great looking characters for Games Modelling and Animation. Using such tools, its relatively easy to generate extraterrestrial character concepts and imaginative creatures. The program also offers a quick tutorial providing a fantastic insight into how the program works with its revolutionary modelling workflow.

It combines Special Effects art with 3D Digital modelling to give you a wide range of tools in the design of animals and humanoid characters. Zbrush allows artists to design and create high-definition digital characters and props. In addition to that, Photoshop is a fundamental tool in digital image manipulation and texturing the 3D designs created in ZBrush.

ZBrush includes the most productive tools and technologies for the modelling of characters for game design and film characters and allows you how to create complex geometry intuitively such as a 3D portrait of humans.

DynaMesh is a new ZBrush paradigm which brings the Zbrush toolchain even closer to real-world digital sculpting for Modelling and Animation for Computer Games Technology. Users can also set the hot keys so that the ZBrush works for your working style.

Zbrush has become an important 3D DCC tool for 3D modelling and sculpture in games and movie studios. Its a perfect fusion of art with the technology.

Zbrush is one of the programs that students are advised to learn, because it is so important for the 3D content creation pipeline.

ZBrush Course in Singapore if offered by MAGES institute of Excellence. Related courses offered are VFX and Animation Courses and specialist diploma in visual effects. Students participating in these Advanced Graphic Design Course can earn their Graphic Design Degree to help them launch their careers in the creative arts.

How Serious games such as Avengers coding kit introduces children to Programming

Learning to program is one superpower each child must learn to some degree. It can be a valuable tool in today's economy. Apart from that, it teaches abstract thinking and problem solving that can be useful in our domains including artistic pursuits.

But teaching programming using standard teaching techniques alienates a lot of students and deprives many to acquire this valuable skillet. This is where new and innovative methods of teaching that utilize serious games and gamification can come to rescue – no pun intended!

The Avengers coding kit lets kids build their own superpowers by using the principles of rule based programming in a fun and intuitive manner. Now the child can play their favourite Marvel superhero in the  Avengers Hero Inventor Kit, which was made in collaboration with Marvel.

The Kit gives the child a transparent sleeve that (s)he can wear. The kit also provides interchangeable building blocks, known as “bits” that use magnets to stick to the transparent sleeve.

The hardware is supplemented with a mobile app that is the brain behind the coding kit. The app gamifies the learning process with step-by-step instructions and video tutorials. The premise is that the Kid is learning to become a superhero by receiving instructions from his/her Superhero mentors.  Each superhero teaches a different lesson. Wasp and Ant-man lesson uses the accelerometer to teach kids about speed and movement. Black Panther offer the final lesson on customizing your programs. Likewise, Iron Man and  Black Widow teach their own respective coding lessons.

The kit is a good example of teaching using play. While the kid interacts with their favourite superhero by following their instructions, they inadvertently learn about rule based computational thinking. If, you want to do diploma in game programming, you should must take traning from Mages Institutes of excellence in Singapore.

AR and VR Use cases

The use cases of AR and VR technologies are numerous. There is virtually no industry, no pun intended, that does not stand to gain from the benefits offered by AR and VR. Listed below are some of the major benefits AR and VR add to an industry:

Employee Education

AR and VR can allow you to build training programs that allow for the on-boarding of new employees remotely. Staff members can attend virtual classrooms and can also familiarise themselves with their work environments and challenges by using simulations before stepping into the real thing. This allows for en mass staff training and also allow the trainees to better retain the information and revise course content at a low cost to the company.

Training Simulations

AR and VR can allow you to train skilled employees at a low cost by getting them accustomed to the challenges of their work environment and allowing them to experiment with solutions. These training simulations are of great asset to knowledge based domains such as healthcare, law enforcement, corporate training, aviation, and ACE disciplines. As an example, surgeons are being trained in new surgery techniques without risking life and limb.

Field Service Productivity

AR and VR can be of great help in the domains of repair, engineering and manufacturing. You can build simulations that can improve the productivity of field workers. As an example, you can have an AR app that allows for on-site or remote trouble shooting of machinery or equipment. The technician can look through an HMD, a tablet or smartphone and get real-time instructions on how to carry out a procedure.

In order for you to be able to create such interactive apps, you need to learn Augmented Reality and also learn Virtual Reality. To do so, part time animation courses which teach digital animation and 3d animation for content creation are taught in games programming courses in Singapore, such as the ones offered by MAGES Institute of Excellence. You will need skills in C# programming and 3D game development to be part of the emerging technology landscape.
